My Work
Murdered: Soul Suspect is an action adventure puzzle game, released June 2014. It is built on the Unreal engine with creative direction by Square Enix Japan.
The primary premise of the game is that the player is a ghost who needs to solve their own murder and as a result this is a very atmospheric game. As one of the two lighting artists on the project, I was responsible for final lighting and polish on roughly half the game, which includes a large amount of cinematic content. I also worked closely with the art director to help establish consistent visual imagery for “ghost” objects in the game as well as establishing distinct visual looks for the areas of the game. I was also responsible for the lighting on the game’s exterior hub which includes several variations.
